2017 was an important and amazing year for us(SUNFURY), it’s a year we’ll never forget. It’s the year our first game has been published to the world! (2 weeks ago). So far we’re happy with the world’s reaction, we get good comments and ratings, but StairJump still hasn’t got to its climax! We’ll keep updating it, add new items, new features, improvements, we have some future plans for the game.
If you haven’t seen it yet, you can find more details about it here: http://stairjump.com
We’re curious to know what StairJump’s future will be like in 2018. For now, we can tell you what we’ve done since it came out and what we plan.
The update still hasn’t been published on iOS, we uploaded it but we’re waiting for Apple to verify it, it usually takes a day or two, so you will probably get the update very soon.
Ok… Want to hear what have we done?
First, Rom made a new icon!

We didn’t like the previous one… And the icon is the first interaction many people have with StairJump, so it’s very important! We love it, hope you like our new icon too!
StairJump has a syncing system, once you’re connected to facebook you can keep playing the same save on any other device. If you played on one device, it’ll download it to the other once you play there and connected to the internet.
So as long as you’re connected to the internet you’ll always be synced.
But what happens if you played the same save, disconnected from the internet, on 2 different devices, meaning both unsynced? Which save should StairJump take? Well, that’s up to you, we worked on a better gui, helping you decide which save you should take.
We fixed a few bugs that users have complained about and balanced some items in the shop.
And mostly we worked on introducing the game to the world, it took a lot of our time. Hopefully, we’ll have more time next week to work on new updates!
We had many ideas, we want to add daily achievements, so you’ll never get bored. We’ll definitely make new items, and we want to make it harder once you jump 300 stairs and make it more interesting, we had a few ideas for new obstacles, but we won’t spoil you yet ;)
If you have any ideas, you can email us sunfuryteam@gmail.com,
or talk to us wherever you like.
Happy new year!
SUNFURY

It’s finally happened! After all this time working on StairJump. We launched it today.
It’s quite early to say that, but we’re very flattered by the reviews and the supportive comments on facebook.
We enjoy and read every feedback you send us, feel free to email us & spam us with whatever comes up to your mind. sunfuryteam@gmail.com or facebook.
You can download it now from google play or app store!

I remember the day we started it… It was just an innocent little cube, and rectangles that move toward it, we had no idea what it will become of in a few years later. Rom believed in this game, he proudly showed it to me(Tom), the new concept of a game he made. I didn’t like it at first sight, but I was just looking for a game to make, and I knew Rom. Rom wouldn’t get excited about something so much for no reason, so with a tiny hesitation, I joined him.
Later on, it became a promising game when we added colors to it and a character, and some tweaks. Once when Rom went to a school trip, I’ve surprised him with an update, I’ve added a shop with locked items, and made them hidden. Rom himself didn’t know what the items are. They played it all the way in the bus and complicated each other. It was satisfying to see them play. And they asked for more updates in their trip.
We started it in 2014, but once we finished school, we both started working on a fulltime job, which took all of our free time and we were left with almost no time for StairJump. We still had some free time on weekends, but it wasn’t enough. A few months later we abandoned StairJump when we competed for ludumdare, a game jam where you have 72 hours to make a game, after that we continued working on the game we made there, and later, we worked on another game, and then another, and another…
Until! in 2017, we understood that we were starting too many projects without finishing them. It frustrated us that we have worked really hard on games since we’re young but we had nothing to be proud of, an actual product so we can tell the world: “Hey look, we made it".
So.. We have to finish one game, no matter what. What game should we play?
StairJump was the closest thing we had to a finished game, so we chose it.
We were no longer school students, but it became a success in our new jobs too.
After a few months of hard work, with lots of sleepless night.. StairJump is finally completed. We’ve added so many features, diverse obstacles, upgrades, bonuses, and kept balancing everything all the time.

If you want to try it:
Thanks for your time reading this,
SUNFURY.
We haven’t posted here for a long time,
we were very bussy, but.. we have some very exciting news!
StairJump is coming out, a game we worked on for a long time, and kept it quite a secret until now. It’s the first time we show it to the world, and we’re very excited! We’ve sacrificed so many hours of sleep, infact we’re writing this post after a sleepless night.. But we feel like it was worth it! We did something, something that we were waiting for since we were kids, we made a game! and a game that we’re proud of.
We can’t describe our feelings in words right now, we are not even sure wether we’re more happy than afraid and excited, it’s kind of a combination.
Hope we still have some readers over there after all this waiting..
Thanks for all of those who kept waiting!
So, let’s get to the news!

Hello there, Its Tom!
I wanted to share with you my experience being an indie developer in SunFury
(credit to Rom for the illustrations)

We work professionally as a Game developer team. Currently working on a game Craft a Raft - a puzzle game about a baby who goes to adventures in the wild sea. We have a team of two programmers along with a Graphics designer. Thus, most of the things were really specified, the roles and the duties of each and everybody in the team. As a result, we haven’t experienced any disorder issues.

Developing a game is extremely time-consuming and it’s
extremely difficult to do it in your leisure time for those who have a full
time job, a family as well as other spare-time activities. Obviously, you’ll have to give up on some sleep hours.
This can bring about
frustration and you may lose interest and eventually quit.
So.. Why we’re investing so much time on Craft a Raft, enjoying making it, and think it has a lot of potential? Sorry if it sounds a little like an advertisement, its really just what we think about the game and make us enjoy developing the game. and also, yes, it is indeed a little bit an advertisement.
So what do we like about developing Craft a Raft?
It’s fun and sometimes funny, to see all the ways people are passing a level, even sometimes with the clumsiest raft they could have think of.

After 2.5 months we finally achieved 400 followers in our twitter!
We are going to celebrate it on the weekend :)

We wanted to share and explain more about the game, but with posts as long as they’ll be, we couldn’t explain as good as one youtube video could.
So there you go, enjoy our video!
We’ve planned to create a facebook page for a long time.
Now we finally made it, we’ll try to keep it updated :)
